Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the folk music festival ‘Dhaka International Folk Fest-2020’ has been postponed by the organizing organization Sun Foundation.
If the situation is normal, the festival will be held in 2021, the organization said in a press release.
The festival was held for the first time on November 14, 2015 with more than a hundred artists from five countries. The festival is organized by the Sun Foundation every November at the Army Stadium in the capital.
The company said it had decided to postpone the event to avoid the risk of coronavirus even after receiving permission to do so.
All the cinema halls, theater exhibitions and screenings in the country were closed for more than six months due to the outbreak of coronavirus. Since October, the doors of all culture centers have gradually started to open.
